Cara McDonald

Cara McDonald is a licensed psychotherapist who works with teens and adults facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, family concerns, and stress related to work or school.

She holds master’s degrees in counseling from both the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia. Cara’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and solution-oriented. She incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and DBT-informed skills. When working with couples, she draws from the Gottman Method to foster trust, improve communication, and strengthen connection.

Cara brings extensive experience in working with adolescents and families, helping teens manage emotional and academic struggles and guiding families in rebuilding communication and connection. She has also facilitated individual and group therapy in addiction recovery settings, providing structure, empathy, and support during each stage of the healing process.

Before transitioning into the mental health field, Cara spent several years in corporate sales and leadership. Her background gives her unique insight into the realities of high-pressure environments, burnout, and professional identity shifts—making her especially attuned to the needs of clients navigating career stress or transitions.

At Perimeter Behavioral Health, Cara blends clinical knowledge with real-world perspective to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Deena Spital, PA-C

Deena Spital attended the College of Charleston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Deena has been working in psychiatry since 2014 and provides medication management for adults and children 8 years and older. She strives to create a nurturing environment where patients feel understood and cared for.

Outside of work, Deena stays busy spending time with her husband and two young sons.

Deena works under the supervision of Dr. Neil Jariwala, MD.

Lindsey Ann Nichols attended the University of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with an emphasis on health promotion and education. She continued her studies at Georgia State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later her Master of Science in Nursing. She is an advanced practice registered nurse and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Lindsey began her career in primary care then moved to specialize in behavioral health in 2017. Her clinical background empowers her to use a holistic approach in patient care, by offering personalized treatment options that focus on the root causes of mental health concerns, and providing medication management for adults 17 years and older. She is passionate about the connection between mental health and physical well-being. Lindsey believes that both conventional and functional medicine approaches can be powerful tools for supporting mental health

Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys traveling, being active outdoors, attending sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lindsey works under the supervision of Dr. Neil Jariwala, MD.

Amy Zoller Lee, PA-C

Amy Zoller Lee brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to patient care, rooted in a strong academic and clinical background. She graduated summa cum laude in Psychology from Brandeis University, and went on to work in the Psychiatry and Neurology departments at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she contributed to Alzheimer’s research. She also completed her post-baccalaureate studies at Tufts University before earning her Master of Medical Science at Emory University’s Physician Assistant Program.

Since 2019, Amy has been practicing internal medicine with a special focus on preventive care, women’s health, and mental well-being. She is deeply committed to building meaningful connections with her patients and creating a safe, collaborative space where they feel supported in achieving their health and wellness goals.

Outside the clinic, Amy loves spending time with her husband and their two young children. She also enjoys pilates, hiking, and finding moments of calm in nature.Amy works under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Morris, MD.
